Economical Measurement of Low Flows

The DTK flowmeter measures low viscosity, clear or opaque, liquids. It is available in measuring ranges from 0.8 to 9.5 GPH up to 16 to 190 GPH. The body is 304 SS and has ¼” NPT fittings. It offers a maximum pressure of 435 PSIG and a maximum temperature of 176 degrees Fahrenheit. Frequency or analog outputs are available, as well as an optional compact electronic. The DTK offers an accuracy of ± 2% of full scale.

Simple, Compact Design for a Variety of Applications

The DTK employs a very simple Pelton Wheel design. A nozzle built into the inlet fitting directs flow onto an impeller with imbedded permanent magnets. Impeller rotation is detected by a Hall Effect sensor as liquid flow causes the paddle to rotate. The sensor generates a pulse each time a magnet passes. The pulse frequency is directly proportional to flowrate. The DTK can be installed in locations where space is at a premium, as the design requires no inlet or outlet straight piping run. It provides a very repeatable and linear output. Common areas of application include: volume batching with external electronics, laundry machines, PCB manufacturing machines, and agricultural machinery.
