KOBOLD PSR/PS all-metal paddle flow switches for liquids are made in the USA and are the ideal choice for applications requiring simple, economical, and reliable flow monitoring. The PSR/PS operates based on the force created as the media flow presses against the paddle placed within the path of the flow. The paddle is fitted at one end of a balance arm, which is in direct contact with a leaf spring. At the other end of the balance arm is a permanent magnet. This magnet actuates a reed contact located within a movable housing outside the media. The reed contact changes state depending upon the position of the permanent magnet and the switch housing. The status of the switch may then be used to monitor the flow.
The externally-adjustable reed switch on the PSR/PS allows the contacts to be set either normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) with only a small switch adjustment.
