Vortex Flow Meters and Switches
Vortex flow meters work on the principle of vortex shedding: a bluff body in the flow path sheds vortices at a frequency proportional to the flow rate. The method measures gases, liquids, and steam, offers wide rangeability, and performs in harsh conditions.
With no moving parts, vortex meters need little maintenance, and low pressure drop keeps energy loss down. They are used across a wide range of flow monitoring applications.
