Pressure-Based Level Transmitters, Probes, and Gauges from KOBOLD
Submersible pressure transmitters install directly in the liquid and measure the pressure at the bottom of the tank; the reading corresponds to the height of liquid above the sensor, giving continuous level measurement. They suit open tanks, wells, and sumps where direct immersion is practical.
Differential pressure transmitters measure the difference between two points (typically the bottom and top of a vessel, or the vessel and atmosphere) which suits closed tanks, pressurized vessels, and applications where the sensor cannot be submerged in the process liquid.
Both approaches provide continuous, real-time level data for control and for protection against overfills and dry runs. Pressure-based level measurement products are listed below.
