The TIN-SS infrared pyrometer is designed for temperature measurement in small and narrow environments, like many OEM installation areas. The rugged measuring heads are suitable for temperatures from -58 °F to 1,880 °F and can be installed in ambient temperatures up to 176 °F without additional cooling.
The TIN-SS IR pyrometers are perfectly suited for multiple employments of infrared measurement points. The plug version additionally allows for a quick assembly and removal, for regular calibration of items like medical devices.
The TIN-SH pyrometer is equipped with one of the world’s smallest infrared sensors and offers a high optic resolution of 22:1. Additionally, it offers a high variability due to selectable analog outputs as well as several digital interfaces in the electronics unit.
Each body with a temperature above absolute zero (–273,15 °C = 0 Kelvin) emits electromagnetic radiation from its surface, which is proportional to its intrinsic temperature. A part of this so-called intrinsic radiation is infrared radiation, which can be used to measure a body’s temperature. This radiation penetrates the atmosphere. With the help of a lens (input optics), the beams are focused on a detector element. This then generates an electrical signal proportional to the radiation.
The signal is amplified and by the use of signal processing is transformed into an output signal proportional to the object temperature. The measuring value may be shown in a display or released as analog output signal, which enables an easy connection to control systems present in process management.
