HARTCOM - HART® Modem
The HARTCOM HART® Modem provides an interface connection between field devices (slaves) with HART® and a compatible PC through a USB interface. The HARTCOM modems are functional with all HART® capable transmitters that use standard HART® communication. To enable communication between the USB 1.1 or 2.0 port of the PC a driver program (FT 232 RL) is needed. See downloads section under the Resources and Videos tab for the link to the driver download. Select and download the correct driver according to your PC operating system and processor architecture.
There are two distinct versions of the HARTCOM modem that can be ordered:
- HARTCOM-0: External 24VDC transmitter supply and 250Ω resistor
- HARTCOM-1: Loop powered 24VDC and integrated 250Ω resistor
