Product Description
Exceptional Features and Expanded Application/Media Compatibility: New C3T0 Electronics
The globally proven KOBOLD DUK series line has been expanded with the inclusion of our new revolutionary C3T0 electronic. This exceptional new model includes integral temperature measurement, IO-Link, bi-directional flow capabilities, switching and batching and transmitting functions, two configurable outputs, and a digital touch screen that rotates the display in 90 increments depending on the installation position.
Another notable difference is that it can now process moderately viscous media up to 68 cSt. Specific media and media combinations can be specified within the instrument via a software upload. It is also designed with the future in mind as the electronics are now specifically designed for easy onsite repair and replacement. This new development launches an already versatile flow meter into a wide variety of new markets and applications and positions it uniquely within the market in both capability and pricing.
Compact Inline Ultrasonic Flow Meter
As the KOBOLD DUK inline ultrasonic flow meter does not require conductive media to operate, it is an ideal candidate for applications requiring an inline installation and where the media is not sufficiently conductive enough for a magnetic flow meter. Like magnetic flow meters, the DUK features a principle of measurement that does not require moving parts or any mechanical elements for flow rate measurement, delivering a long service life, minimal maintenance, and high accuracy.
Highest Turndown Ratio - 250:1
The DUK offers an exceptionally high turndown ratio in comparison to other options in the market. This makes it uniquely suited for applications where the process variables produce a widely fluctuating flow rate as many flow meters are not capable of providing consistent and reliable high accuracies across a wide range of flow rates.
Ultrasonic Flow Measurement
DUK Ultrasonic Flow Meters operate by the principle of run-time or transit time difference. Ultrasonic waves in the media are influenced by the rate of flow. It features two sensors mounted opposite one another in the pipeline, which function simultaneously as transmitter and receiver of ultrasonic signals. If no flow is present, the run-times of both signals are identical. If the media is flowing, the run-time of the signal against the flow will be longer than the signal with the flow. This run-time difference, determined by the DUK’s microprocessor, is proportional to the flow rate. Other Ultrasonic Flow Meter Installation Types
KOBOLD also offers the DUC Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow Meter which delivers a clear cost advantage for flow measurement in large process pipe diameters.
